Unfortunately I had to pull out of the competition because of getting sick and having some stomach issues. The competition ended up great with great performance from the guys competing.

Many strong guys showed up like Brian Shaw, Terry Hollands, Mark Felix, Jeremy Hogg, Richard Skog, Hafþór Júlíus, Páll Logason, Georg Ögmundsson and myself.

 

Hafþór was really good and showed everybody that he's a force to be reckoned with in the future. He showed up with personal bests in each event and did his country proud.

 

Brian Shaw was the overall winner, no surprise to anybody really. He and Hafþór Júlíus had a good attempt at a huge 241kg/530lbs nature stone in the last event.

 

Like I said I had to pull out because of problems. I just did not think it was worth it to risk further injury. It's been a long season and I've achieved many of my goals, so I can be happy. Now it's time to give the body some rest with easy training in the next weeks before I start my prep for the next season.
